About this blog
Hello there! I am Rob Dal Bianco and have been coming to Temagami since 1971, when as a young lad I attended Camp Whitebear, a summer camp which was owned and operated by Ron and Mickey Johnstone and family in the Southwest Arm of the Lake. While at camp I acquired an indescribable sense of satisfaction of being, which I think is common to many people who have experienced Temagami in a similar way. I have been coming back to Temagami ever since. Each time I return I feel the same immense satisfaction that I felt as a kid. I can’t explain it but it is many things more than just the fresh Northern Ontario air, the smell of the northern boreal forest and the erie cry of the Loon. It is a satisfaction of being….. it’s the only way to describe it. There are many people, who have experienced a far greater slice of Temagami than myself. People have lived their entire lives here, some people have come and never left, entire family generations have experienced it but for those who have never had the privilege and good fortune to visit for a period of time there is something to be said about this special place.
This is a blog to share all things “Temagami”. Comments and regular contributions are invited.
