Larry and Mary from Temagami Shores Inn and Resort have kindly offered to count fish caught/released that they see and here of. I am posting the fish count whenever we hear or see something from them. Not very scientific, I realize, but it does let you know if the fish are biting. Lake Trout and Whitefish were caught/released in the 5 to 7 lb. class.
Over the last week or so Larry has reported approximately 25 Whitefish caught with numerous Lake Trout caught and released.
This is the current weeks count:

Hi there:
Winter is here atleast if you look around up here there is no shortage of snow or snow to shovel for that matter. This is good news for the snowmobile trails and not so good for ice quality. Yet on the bright side people Whitefish are being caught and Lakers are being caught and released. See the fish tracking chart.
If you are going to atempt fishing on the Lake this early be EXTREMELY cautious as ice is only just starting to form and can be variable depending on where you are on the Lake.
Check out these pics of a couple of early season die-hards!
The season has begun. Ice is starting to form on the Lake and the fish are feeding. There all ready reports of Whitefish being caught and Lake Trout being released off of the dock through barely a half-an-inch of ice. Check out the Fish Stats Page!
Hope you are getting your hut in order!
